We make individual collectors bears in mohair and acrylic. Our latest additions are pure wool bears made in Herdwick, Jacob and Loaghtan. Herdwicks being the sheep of the Lake District  We also do craft fairs and other shows. This year, so far, we are booked into Wonderwool Wales, Gardening Scotland, Woolfest. There are others but are yet to be confirmed. See Diary Our first show of the year is at Dacre Hall,Lanercost Priory,Lanercost, Brampton,Cumbria at Easter.

These are examples of some of the bears we have made recently. We don't have a shop, we work from home. We, being myself and my mother. She mainly does all the jewellery bits,puts bows on and names them all plus sews some of the mohairs and acrylics, and stuffs them. I like to keep her busy!! I do all the pure wool bears,very small bears and also some of the mohairs and acrylics. I do all the jointing and finishing off. It takes me two days to make a bear whether its 15in or 3in. The smaller it is the fiddlier. Prices reflect this, because its small its not cheap!. Our bears can be found in two Made in Cumbria shops,our main one being Rheged, Penrith, Cumbria and we have a few Herdwicks bears in the new headquarters shop for Made in Cumbria in Stramongate, Kendal, Cumbria. I also have bears in the Lowes Court Gallery situated in the Tourist Information office in Egremont, Cumbria
This is still a site in progress. My photography is rubbish I have more bears for sale but I can't get a decent picture of them!! Keep looking one of these days I will,well a reasonable one anyhow (I hope)
All bears have English glass eyes, cotter pin joints and lead in their bodies for weight. |
